Molly & Platy Lifespan

How long is the average lifespan of Mollies & Platies?

This is the first time I've had healthy, cycled tanks, and have had babies grow into adulthood... How long do they live?

I guess time will tell, but wondering what your experiences are...

I've read that it can be anywhere from 3-5 years but they base that one averages. I think one major factor is how the fish is cared for. Water conditions and all the other stuff we all strive for as people who care for their fish.
