Moss Balls

Any one know why my moss ball fell apart after having it only for a few weeks?
I had to throw it out. Little pieces of it were clogging the filter.

It depends Marimo moss balls are the real deal the other types are just regular moss clumped together into a ball

It was a Marimo moss ball.

I don't know then, maybe it just died or something or maybe a fish ripped it apart ?

it happened to me too. but it was my fish who did it. they torn it apart. so are you fish plant nippers?
