Hello!

I have an established, planted 29g tank containing 5 tiger barbs, a pleco, 2 spotted puffers, and some snails. The plants aren't large but I believe they're rooted (recently had to do some extreme maintenance that involved planted some new plants and trimming down my large ones).

I'm wondering if anyone has general tips for moving such a tank. My plan was to drain the water into a small insulated container and put the fish in it for the move, wrap the plants in damp paper towels after pulling them, and I will also be completely changing the magistrate as I hate what I use currently...any recommendations for that substrate also appreciated.

Only thing I can think of straight off is to put the plants in a few buckets of water so they don't dry out. I've never tried the damp towels - would be interested in how that goes (and pics of new tank :) ).
