Moving a tank

I have a 20g with 8 platy, 7 adf and 4 platy fry in breeder net. Tomorrow I'm moving their location. Would this be appropriate or is there a better way

Put fry in a bowl of tank water
Empty 70% water
Place platy and frogs in a bucket of tank water
Move tank (gonna be heavy I know so just hoping it doesn't cracking)
Refill with treated water and replace fish

Why can't you remove all of the water? Less weight, less chance of cracking the tank.

I've Manuel siphoned all the way to 95% of the tank. Last 5% is difficult to keep the siphon but by then it won't make much of a weight differance.

Get someone to help you move it. When I removed all that water above, it was because I needed to move my 75g across the room out of the sunlight. It took me my father and my brother with some wooden blocks to get it lifted up and put on a dolly. That's with 90 pounds of substrate, rocks, a little water, and plants.

Remove all your equipment such as air stone tubes, heaters, filters(make sure media is still submerged in water to protect BB) etc.

If you get someone to help you a 20g shouldn't be hard at all to move.
