Well, somebody brought home ich :(

I'm buying paraguard to treat the goldfish in the 55 gallon, but the tank also has a pleco...

I currently have a 10 gallon with platys, shrimp, java moss, and elodea...
The plan is to rip up all the plants and net the paltys, and get them into my OTHER 10 gallon, where I can treat them with paraguard.

In the current 10 gallon, the shrimp will stay, and I'll add the pleco. THIS tank will be treated with salt and temperature, seeing as most medications aren't safe for inverts and plecos... and I hear the medications that ARE safe for them only mask the problem and don't cure it...

But I really have no clue about using aquarium salt... I'm getting a total dissolved solid meter, but still very scared to salt my aquarium....

Any confirmation or adjustments to my plan would be greatly appreciated!!!!
