I'm gonna be moving house in the next few weeks, any ideas in the best way to do it? I'm only moving along the road from where I am now, I have a freshwater tank?

Welcome aboard. We are glad you found us here at AA. :welcome:

Moved to FW general discussion

put fish in a bucket, drain tank, keep media wet, move, fill up, get up to temp, put filter(s) on, acclimate fish, done. If it's a smallish tank, leaving the substrate in is pretty easy. If it's a larger tank, that can be difficult. I moved my 125 with about 3" of substrate... it was all me and my dad could do to move it.

Sounds like the simple way to do it, hope it goes as easily as it sounds! Not looking forward to netting all the fish.

I have successfully moved with no casualties!! I drained tank to a few inches and moved the tank with fish still inside!! I was only moving down the street so me and four friends carried it! Got everything set up quickly to the correct temperature and all is well, panic over!
