For the other freshwater tank with the arrowana, you should add some gar.

I dont like gar, and neither does my aunt. There will be all female new world cichlids.

My intention is to do a wall lenght tank in my living room one day. I wont have a tv just a large aquarium. I am unclear about how water changes work though in such a large setup.

A time consumingly large amount of effort... hehe 400g of water weekly to just keep the discus happy

Why don't you call ATM an let them build the tanks but not stocking them?

You could defiantly find someone local. I know like 3-4 places that will make custom tanks just by me.
