My betta delta black spot ??

My white betta as just gone in to my tank and he's going afew black spots on him
What is it and how do I get rid of it ?

Hello, could be ammonia poisoning and the black spots are the resulting scale damage. This is just a guess to start though. Do you have any water chemistry tests?


Also I do find white fish show any small change very well even if it means nothing. So if he is otherwise good, might be fine.

Water changes and water testing (if that is it). Example link of test kit below. There is no medical cure really.

How long as tank been set up?

About a year now not really had any problems with it and okay

Should be cycled and ok. It's hard to say. Usually water chemistry is first checked/asked about just in case.

It's not uncommon for lower quality white colored bettas to develop patches of other color as they grow. Do you have pics?

Yep that is completely normal, it may develop into red or blue patches.
