I started my 135 gallon Discus Tank build about 1 year ago, give or take 3 weeks. It has been a long and arduous process filled with heart ache, frustration, confusion, disease, new plants, dead plants, flake foods, frozen foods, live foods, diatoms, too much light, too little light, new bulbs, replacement bulbs, water quality, filtration, CO2, O2, and finally reward.
I have been in the hobby for about 30 years now and this Discus project has been both challenging yet rewarding. I have posted PICs and comments which I hope will help others planning on getting into Discus navigate the complexities and care of these beautiful fish.
I have 4 albums to share with PICs and comments on what I did to get my Discus tank up and running. Maybe some tips can help you with your current tank or a Discus tank if that be on your bucket list.
