It was healthy and happy, Ammonia, Nitrite at the 0, nitrates very low too.

But it died, I found it heavenly enmeshed in a thread (I attached Java Moss), between the thread and the driftwood.

The fish (Platy) can die like that?

Thanks

Can be due to water parameters fluctuation, or a disease, or lack of oxygen.

If he was gasping at surface: Oxygen supply problem, may be due to ammonia gills burn, or only lack of O2 in water.

Is PH changing due to low KH value ?

Is water temperature changing often ? (While water change for example)

Did you put a chemical in the water ? (Bleach, tap water without dechlorinator) Sometime air freshners can kill aquarium inhabitants.

Are you saying that the fish got tangled in some thread you were using to tie down some moss?

If so, that certainly unfortunate. I suppose the lesson to take away would be not to have excess thread or slack. :(

Yes :(
It was a very nice Platy, it doesn't even run or hide from my hands!

The new one is afraid of everything and move very-very fast... It can be due to acclimatization period? Or it always will be like this?

The water was OK, the changes in the PH, GH, KH? Ill verify it today.
But normally I have:
PH - 8.0
KH - 6.0
GH - 161.1

Oxygene is OK also, I run my filter on MAX and use an airstone.

Water temps is 25-25,5. When I do water change it's drop to 24 and something...

Probable it just a bad luck... Already fish cannot be tangled in the thread like that...
