I got some mystery snails for my 72 gal community tank. They keep end up floating on top of the water, closed into their shells. I turned off the Emperor 400 and Koralia 2, and they came back out. Do snails have a hard time with water flow? Maybe they can't survive in fast flowing conditions.

They play in the flow and air bubbles sometimes. Current shouldn't be a problem. They amount of air they hold in dictates whether they float or not.

Do fish nip at their feelers or something? These seem to be in their shells most of the time.

It is possible to see fish nip at the snail's antennae. Keep an eye out. You may end up having to remove the snails if the fish are too nippy.
