Native trip

Made another trip east to Freeport, FL. Stopped at a few roadside swamps and creeks and this is what I got:

Some kind of gar, not sure, have never seen one with this coloration before

I also caught 3 redfin pickerel, but haven't uploaded pics yet, will update.


Took a few short vids of the pygmy sunfish that I caught and added. The male e.zonatum look to be in breeding condition, they are large and have a nice greenish sheen to them.

The blue-ish one in the vid is a juvenile e.gilberti I believe.

Photos of 2 of the redfin pickerel. They are both young, the one in the first 2 pics can't be very old at all, he's barely bigger than the RCS.
