Need help asap

So I fish less cycled my tank and I assumed it was ready for fish so I did like a 85% change yesterday and now I rechecked everything and I'm at ammo 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 30-40ish.


Been cycling for about a month. I'm checking my tap water right now to see if that's why.

Need help because I already bought 3 denison barbs and they are just waiting in the store bag acclimation to the temp.

Tap nitrates are at about 20ish.

What should I do? Another water change? What do I do with the fish? I don't want to put them into shock from the temp change

I think your fine. That isn't a dangerous nitrate level.
