Hi all,I've just purchased a new 150 litre tank:) I want to do a fishless cycle but we cannot buy pure ammonia here in Australia.what other options do I have ?I want to avoid a fish in cycle if I can thanks guys

I have a friend from Sydney with the same issue. You can always get seeded media from a trusted lfs, put it in your filter and begin to stock slowly, keeping and eye on your parameters. A bit more work, but very doable!

Ok thanks,I've heard some people using prawns inside a stocking but I'm not sure how reliable this method is

The shrimp combined with media from an established tank will certainly work well too if you prefer the fishless route. If you don't have access to lfs media, you can do it with just the shrimp, but it will take quite a bit longer.

Ammonium chloride can work. Fish food can work too but it takes longer and stinks.
