I have a redtailed barracuda that currently eats red rosy feeders but I've never actually seen him eat the fish they just dissapear and he gets fatter. Is there a way I can drop the feeders in and he goes after them immediately? Do I need to starve him for a day or two? Can someone please help me out I bought this fish after seeing videos of how cool they are when they feed but I just don't seem to be getting it right

Here's the culprit btw

I have a 60 gal tank right now I drop in about 5 feeders at a time then wait untill they vanish untill I restock How long is good enough for a fish to work up a appetite for destruction?

I usually wait untill the previous feeders I dropped get eaten so I probally restock every 3 days
