What do these guys do around mating season?
Our neon tetras have been acting differently the last few days...
-coupling up and hanging out in pairs vs the usual group
-courting type actions between the pairs
(Nuzzling against each other, tweeky tail gestures, positioning themselves beneath their pair-mate)
-hanging out in the shadows, under driftwood
All of which from what I've read indicates the onset of spawning...
Also, some of them are showing a white line along the leading edge of their claudal fins... I dont think it's fin rot, but I can't get one to stay still long enough to snap a pic
I'm leaving the light and heater off today to see what develops.
