Happened to be down in old town this afternoon and decided we'd pop into the lone pet store (aside from WalMart) our town has. We don't go in very often (they are a nice enough little shop - just extremely small and usually kind of high priced) but I am so glad we did because I now have a gorgeous pair of Bristlenose!!! He is big and bushy and they seemed absolutely smitten with each other in the tank (so I couldn't bear to break them up - just *had* to buy them both, lol).

That's cool Mandi! Any pics?

Meredith, maybe you have a female bristlenose. I could be wrong here, but don't the males only develop the bristles?

Some females do grow a VERY few and VERY short bristles in some cases.
like i am talking almost un-noticeable ... but there are some bristles on them

Saw some at a LFS before.

and yes meredeth, you probably have a female.
