Sailfin Mollies (poecilia velifera) and (fancy) Guppies (poecilia reticulata) are pretty closely related...

I have a fancy guppy that I had from fry. I have a set of 7 of them I kept and 1 of them has very unique and strange qualities from the other 7. The 6 look like each other and the unique one has really strange fins and strange colorings. It kinda reminded me of a sailfin. I assume it is a gene that one of the adults I had a while back was carrying....

sry man and every1 else i can get pics but u wont see the sailfin..

im having second thoughts about it being a guppy. it seems as if its not a guppy. its kinda like nipping the adult male so i think it might be like a baby molly or sumitn. but i dont understand the nipping because i thought livebearers were so aggressive
