Hello long time reader first time blogger. I have read a lot of helpful info here thanks. My first question is I know there is no such thing as to filtration. I have a 150gl with 2 xp3's and thinking of adding a xp4. Is that a good idea or to much flow? I don't want to cause my fish any discomfort with the water current. also any suggestions with the set up inside the filters. should one be all bio one all chem - mech . a combo etc. need experts advice. thanks

Welcome to AA!

What are the dimensions of your tank? I don't think you need any extra filtration, 2 XP3s will more than cover you.

6'x18"x28". I know with the fish I have I need to do weekly water changes which i do 25%, but if I go overboard on filtration could I cut back on water changes.

And also would more media control spikes through out the day. Keep level more stable.

I takek it this is a FW tank?

You may want to repost in the FW section.
