So, I have been patiently waiting to get some German Blues for my 36 Gallon tank, and that time has come!

Was at a local fish store, went to get another water circulator and I came home with what I think is a pair (based on my experience with Bolivians) and no circulator.

While there these 2 I spotted were fending off the others in the tank, and heads were quivering while mouthing at the ground. Pretty much inseparable from each other...

Got them home and acclimated and they now have taken refuge in the corner of the tank in the middle of the Val's on a rock. I am 99.99999% positive they are M/F. Any experts want to confirm? They have already started making pits and mouthing the stone.

Yeah they have only been in for 24hrs, and they're already acting the same way my Bolivians do right before spawning.

Nice looking pair!
Watch how they treat each other after they lay eggs.
Not always so friendly first couple times(every pair is different some are A+ from day 1).
You should be able to notice her ovipositor a day or two before she lays eggs if she hide.

Thanks! Yeah I can see it, its not as pronounced as the Bolivians (which are much larger) but that and there interactions in the store tank set me off on it. I wasn't going to get any for a little while. But I have not seen any at the stores around me that were worth the price (until I saw these). Thanks for the info!!
