Hi I always out live plants in a new set up. This is before cycling. Now I hear that it is better to wait till the tank cycles. What do you think? Thanks

This is true because of the changes in water parameters that happen during cycling. Although I think if you stuck with hardier plants like Java fern you'd be okay.
