So I have a 15 gallon Blackwater setup that is still really new. I know seeing some fungus or biofilm buildup is normal but is this okay? It looks a little excessive to me.

If the driftwood is new, then this is normal. Sugars or other substances in the driftwood are fueling naturally occurring fungi. It will subside once the food source is gone (a few weeks). You can briefly reboil the DW if you want to kill the fungus.

It is new. The maple leaves seem to have the most growing off the back. But I assume that's the same thing?

I should add that I'm happy with letting it run its course I just wanted to make sure that there is nothing harmful going on.
