nipping question

does anybody know if a school of tiger barbs will nip at a severums fins??

Possibly.
I have a small school of green tiger barbs and had a problem with them nipping fins. I have had less problems though since I moved them to my cichlid tank.
PS: they were not just nipping at fins they were taking chunks out of the tail fins of my dwarf gouramis.

i think i might go for smaller barbs, but im scared my severum will eat them when it grows up. something like cherry barbs?

I have heard that only the tiger barbs are the nippy barbs but can't say for sure since the only barbs I have are tiger.

i have heard about tiger barbs being nippers. i've had as many as six but currently have 2 and i notice that they do kinda nip but only eachother and it looks like more of a playfull thing.
