Nitrates!! How do I get them down?

You didn't miss anything. She never did say that until the last post where she posted the water parameters.

Agreed on the 50% water changes until you get the nitrates down to 20. Then weekly water changes and testing to ensure you are removing enough nitrates with the water changes.

I would do a 50% change every 2 days until you are down to around 20 then weekly 50% changes.

Thats all you gotta do there and just keep up on 50%/wk monthly filter maitnence and the occasional spot vaccum
