Nitrates in tap water

This is water out of my tap that has set for over 24hrs. Is this normal reading?

Looks like 5ppm, is that right? If so yes that's normal mine is even higher. I'm assuming you're on city water though, are you?

Yeah 5ppm. I am on well water

Wells can have varying levels. City water though, is regulated and most places have a strict limit of <10ppm allowed. Mine is somewhere in between and I have no problems.
