NITRITE AND NITRATE PROBLEMS, PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

I have a 15 gal puffer tank with spotted green and figure 8 puffs. I do frequent water changes and high maintenance. I do a water change and all levels check out perfect afterwards, the next day they are at toxic levels once again, this happens every time. Is it the puffers themselves??Do they excrete something in the water??

How long has the tank been running?What filter set up do you have?How many fish are in there?It could be that the cycle is not finished yet,or the number of fish is too high,or the filter needs to be cleaned.Do not clean the filter with any detergents of any kind.Simply rinse out what you can in the water of the tank that you just changed.This will leave the good bacteria intact and allow the filter to be as effective as possible.How do the fish look?Do they seem ok?Also try to feed them less than you want to.
