I am setting up a 10gallon tank for my 1 female cichlid so she can catch a break from the males because she not long ago swallowed a batch of young which would of been to term. So she's a little on the thin side at the moment.
I have some substrate from her current tank put in there. the substrate in the main tank is Caribsea eco complete. the filter is an aqua clear 50, i have a water polishing pad, lava stone, and bio cylinders in the filter. i got some Nutrafin cycle but the instructions are not clear all it says for a 10 gallon tank is to add 25 ml on day one and 10 ml on days 2 and 3. today was day three.
when i first set up the tank i also filled 25% of it with water from the main tank and the rest with water from a local spring.
am i using it right? how soon can she be put in there?
