help
have just lost 2 of our red eye tetras in a week. one of them was a big strapping boy ( 2 inches long an inch tall- can a fish be tall ??) and looked v healthy right up till i found him dead the other was possibly a little skinny & shy. but neither had any obvious signs of disease at all. & i did study the little bodies quite closely.
water is fine : ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 10-20, ph 8 (ph always is & has been 8 ) temp 22C. all our other fish look fine & i check the water regularly so dont think it was a spike of something nasty. we'd had them for nearly 6 months. we do 25% water changes weekly & always add the stuff to get rid of chlorine etc etc.
i suppose that fish can just drop(float) dead just like humans, but just want to make sure we're not missing anything obvious. our remaining 3 red eyes look fine
any hints/clues most appreciated
