I have 2 female and one male mollies. My girls are both having fry. I have homes for the fry but I do not want to constantly have to find places for fry. I have a couple of 10 gallon tanks and I am thinking of moving him to one of them. Neither has fish in them, just snails. I have no idea if mollies are social fish and need company. I did a search but couldn't find a definite answer. Will one male mollie be okay in a ten gallon?

One molly is fine in a 10 gallon temporarily but not as a permanent home. Not because of the social-ness part of it, but because of the bioload. Mollies need at least 20, preferably 30+ gallons, despite what fish stores say. For a common aquarium fish, they need LOTS of space.
