Most recommend 75g. Mines in a 55g.

I've been told by keeping them in anything under 75 that you will eventually stunt their growth, and shorten their lifespan. Maybe 6-8 years instead of 15-20. I personally don't feel like I'm doing anything wrong, he's very healthy and I will always keep up on PWC for him as well as a healthy diet.

In short, I think you're fine IMO :)

Edit: you'll hear lots of opinions..

it is commonly said that a 55gal is too small, shortening their lifespan with stunting, and i agree. but as long as it is a LONG 55gal, very frequent water changes made (messy fish!) then it will be fine until it hits the 10inch or bigger range. settling in the middle with a LONG 65 gal is prob much better (10gal can make all the difference!) and given the right care, ud be fine.

if u get it, pics pics pics :D x
