Oto MIA

I bought an Oto for my 30 gallon tank 3 days ago and have yet to see him since. Is that normal for Otos or should I start a search party? I know they prefer groups, but I was going to add more later.

There are tons of places he could hide in my tank so I don't know if he found a nice patch of algae and stuck to it or if something happened to him. I don't think and of my fish would have attacked him. The only one that is aggressive is a small angelfish about the size of a half-dollar.

He probably isn't very happy being alone. My guess is that he's hiding.

Do you have any other scavenger fish? If he did die (not unheard of for new otos), he might have been feasted on.

I have 4 Cories and a clown pleco. The oto was actually kinda schooling with the cories the first hour in the tank.
