Otocinclus gigante

I just bought two of these fish. Has anyone ever had them before? I did a search and here is a link to a picture of one. http://boxlotfish.com/catalog/popup_image.php?pID=1444

The picture is not that great but it will give you an idea of how it looks. I have the small otos in my planted tank, but the gigantes are much bigger. I guess that is why it is named gigante.

i cant really tell, but it may be an iridescent shark (id shark)

if it is, take it back, they get up to 3 feet long, and are incredibly stuipd, known for knocking themself unconcisious if you suddenly turn on the light, or approach the tank too fast, people end up hating theirs

Could it be a Pitbull pleco? Looks alot like one and they are related to otos. Or maybe a type of oto, I'm not sure.

Their name is Parotocinclus jumbo...according to PC...sounds like a synonym of otocinclus gigante.

We have both the oto gigante and the pitbull plecos in the store I work for, and they are actually different fish. The oto gigantes are bigger than the pitbulls, and behave very similarly to the small otos. They are both cool fish. You'll enjoy them.

I like them so far. They do act like the small otos just alot bigger.
