Hi, I Would really like a parrot cichlid or an angelfish but would it be okay with platys and a GR Cichlid? I really want to get one of them because they are very cool and will do whatever is takes to make it work. I have a 20 gallon tank (I know it seems small) Although, if any of the other fish will be stressed out than I don't want it to happen.

Thanks.

Parrots can be raised in a 30 but for long term success you will need at very least 55 gallons. They also have massive bioloads so I hope you have a very very large amount of filtration or water changes...

Be careful with those. My buddy just gave me one cause he moved and I was going to hold it till I came back from out of town, then bring it to a fish store. Long story short, I came home after 3 days and that thing had bit up and about killed my blue acara. The acara was in bad shape, healing now, I hope he makes it...

what about an angelfish in the same situation tank wise?

Not with what you have now of you had around a 55 gallon I would say go for it.
