I just recieved my root tabs yesterday. I put one root tab in there because I only have a plant. Anyways, after I add it in there I notice him removing the gravel where I planted the root tab like he is digging thru it. I then got a feeling that he was gonna do it but wasn't sure. As I just woke up today I saw that it was dugged out. I see the omocote out of the pill thingy. Can someone tell me why he do this?ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1410643005.201030.jpg

Maybe trying to eat the root tab?

May the force be with you.

Parrots are known and avid diggers so this is not uncommon. Well maybe digging up root tabs is but the general digging isn't. They will redecorate your tank for you when they feel fit so be prepared and don't be worried about it.

I was just about to edit that into my post. Parrots especially...

But he dugged it up right after I put it in there and the plant was in there before he was.

Maybe he thought it was a game? Probably still wanting his prize for such a swift win;)
