Particles in water?

So I'm OCD about my water being crystal clear but recently I noticed that there are tiny particles floating in my tank and making it look cloudy.
I have a 5 stage canister filter with 2 layers of foam, pre-filter, bio rings, and then a polishing pad but I still see the particles.

it's driving me crazy and I have live plants but the filter does a pretty good job of getting rid of waste.
The only thing I could think it could be is dust from my sand but I've done several water changes without it getting much better.

any ideas?

What size tank? I've got a 220g with 2 canister filters and am considering adding another to use just as a mechnical filter with fine floss and pads to polish the water. You can also look into the Hot Magnium hang on filter as it comes with a super fine water filter you can use for polishing the water. It will remove all super fine particles in the water column.

100% poly-fill you can get at any arts craft store, Walmart, Kmart etc. Does a great job polishing your water.
