Peacock eel, missing?

My eel swam into my filter And died. Eels are tricky due to their intelligent nature and curiosity. Great animals. Too shy for me though

That's just too many decorations IMO. Never had a peacock eel. Do they stay small?
 
Peacock eels are one of the smallest eels and can be kept in tanks 10 gallons and up.
 
They live near the substrate but kribs are only aggressive when they are spawning.
