Peacock / fire eel

I have a 36 gal tank with platys mollies guppies plecostomus etc . I was wondering if a fresh water eel if some sort would live in there with my fish ?

You can PROBABLY get away with a peacock eel, but as for the fire eel, keep in mind they can get as thick as a mans arm and several feet long. Really not a good idea unless you plan on upgrading to a 100g.
