I have a ballon pearl gourami in a 30 gallon tank, he keeps goof to the top to breathe. I know they have labyrinths and have no problem breathing at the top, but my question is will he ever breathe like a normal fish? I have a foot long airstone with a 50 gallon pump attached. Should I have more aeration? Water parameters nitrate-10 ammonia- 0 nitrite-0 ph-7.0

Labyrinth fish won't "breathe like a normal fish." They go to the top to breathe. =] It isn't a sign of a problem, that's just how they are. If he WASN'T going to the top to breathe, then you'd have a problem.

Edit: Your parameters are aeration sound good, so again, I wouldn't worry. Just to be sure, though, how often does he go to the top? If he's there 24/7 it could be a problem, but if he just goes every few minutes or hours, it's normal.
