Pearl Gourami

I recently purchased two Pearl Gourami from my LFS and I think I may have gotten two males. They are perfectly fine and swim and hang all day/night but I don't want it to be an issue in the future. It was a younger kid working and not the normal people who I typically deal with, that's another reason I am concerned.



Please let me know, I'd like to try and make an exchange as soon as possible if need be! Thanks in advance!

I can't tell the gender but honestly I think you will be fine. If you are really worried, you might as well go back and make sure but I honestly think you're fine.

I think they are both actually females. Pearl gouramis are my favorite type of gourami and I have had many of them. The females are pretty but the males are even more brilliantly colored in my experience. Male pearl gouramis also have extended fins like the one in this picture.
