Peppered cory not very active

My boyfriend has a peppered cory an it is extremely active. I bought two the other day and they aren't at all I don't believe they are sick they look completely fine the other fish are fine just wondering what could be the cause

You must remember that not all individuals of a species behave the same way. I have a few silver dollars that are extremely feisty and active, while some of the others just aren't. It all depends on what individual fish you get. They also could just be adjusting and getting used to their tank.

After things settle down for your cories, and your filter strengthens to handle the additional bio load, might think about adding 2 or 3 more of them. Cory cats like to school. Probably will amount to more activity.
Good luck

Another thing, if you aren't feeding them the right food they may not be active due to lack of energy. make sure to have sinking wafers or something similar (algae wafers are fine too). Just a thought.
