Photoperiod starting at 6pm

Is it OK for plants and fish if i start photoperiod at 6pm until 4am with 2 hrs siesta in mid?
Is this bad in anyway for fish and plants?

This is obviously to fit in with your life schedules but I can see no difference. My only reservation is that in the daytime the fish will not have a blacked out resting period to get their biological clocks in sync. If the room is darkened during the day or covered to exclude the room light then I think it could work.
