plant and sand help

anyone know what plant this is, I wasn't able to pronounce the name at the pet store, and does anyone know if the Quikrete play sand works in aquariums?

greetings.

on the sand part, personally i would not recommend any gravel with grain size below 0.5mm, it blocks off circulation of water and that can cause plant roots to rot. some people appear to have been able to get rid of that by using snails that dig into the gravel and sturr it up.

I use play sand and have no problems. Others on here use pool filter sand. And others use blasting sand. Its all a matter of personal preference.

The plant appears to be A. gracillis or A. senegalensis, or more likely ludwigia inclinata or ludwigia repens.
