Pygmy Corys. The Otto needs to wait till the tank is old enough to have lots of biofilm formed. Probably 2 -3 months after first fish. OS.

Hi Brian
Am I going to be overstocked if I add an Otto later and a centerpiece fish like a dwarf gourami or a betta? I'd really like to get some activity up high with a small school of something??? Current stock is 12 neons 2 adfrogs and 4 blue pearl shrimp.

Down to the last little bit guys. Traded my guppies in for my finished stock. All that's left is an Otto in a few months

I'm not sure if anyone answered your question about replanting trimmings or not so i will. With most stem plants you can trim at some point along an established stem, replant the trimmed tip and you will get side shoots from the plant you trimmed. Just google care on the species you have to find out if this is the case. I like the look of your stem plants. I prefer to plant them in clumps of one stem type instead of a single stem here and there though. It's coming along nicely Keeshy I'll enjoy seeing this fill in.

Thanks guys! I think I'm going to add some red luwigia to the rotala to make some clusters but with contrast and forgot to mention I have 4 blue pearl shrimp that I will be trading the ghost shrimp out for. I added the ghosts temporarily so when I added the beta today he would be used to shrimp. So hopefully when my blues get here Mr betta won't go after them.

For bulbs you can use zoomeds ultra sun bulbs they are 6700k and ten watts each

I have 2 zoomed 6500ks in it know and I already have rotala growing out the top of the tank. They were the highest k rating I could find at my local pet smart

Why'll as you can tell Mr Lobo the betta has decided he wants to be a bottom dweller lol. The only top side activity I get its from him and the adfrogs bouncing to the surface for a few random seconds every little while. Thinking I'm going to cut the neon school in half I have a 55 I'm going to move some of them to. Then add some schooling fish that are top level swimmers. Could I do hatchet fish in this 14 gal?

Idk if they would fit- if any at all i would guess marbles would be the ones to go with, since they are smaller. Also, do you have a tight lid? That is very important

Yes I do the adfrogs made sure of that fact lol. It doesn't have to be hatchets just a top level swimmer that the betta won't fight with.

Update guys changed the scape a little added some ludwigia and java moss and working on clustering the rotalla better. Moved some of it to the 55 though so I'm slowing myself down a little lol.
