Hi all,
When I upgrade to my new, larger tank, should I put the plants from my existing tank in to set it up, or can I get new (which I would prefer).
I will put the old filter in as well as the new one to Make the change over quicker hopefully too.
Any advice from anyone who's done this would be welcome.

Is there a reason you don't want the plants for your old set up? Are the dying or do you just want something different?

I've moved plants from tank to tank many times. You can definitely reuse them if you like them. Just keep them wet while you are switching tanks over and they'll bounce back.

I do get a bit of green algae on some of the leaves and have to wash it off when I do a part water change.
Do you think I should get new plants established in the present tank before upgrading?

I've replaced one of the plants today. It's the one my khuli loaches live in, so I hope they'll approve!
The others are fine to transfer to the new tank. I hope to do that soon now.
