Played musical filters!

Moved my male betta from the one gallon little dinky thing into the ten gallon! He's got a large cup he can hide in. He really looks good in that aquarium! I took the corner filter from his tank and put it in my vifer, just can't bear the thought of a non filtered tank just yet!
What can I put in my little one gallon tank? I want some sort of creature in it, like a land creature. Any ideas? I know this is a water based forum, but now I have an empty place!

some sort of reptile?
hermit crab?
insect?
raise a caterpillar to become butterfly?

Do you think I could maybe put pregnant guppies in it? So they don't give birth in the tank??? Would that require filtration? Don't want stinky water.

Im not really experienced in that sector... but i would say yes, if you are willing to do a c omplete change every 3 days. OTher wise maybe get a cheap corner filter?
