I heard that plecos need wood in their diet so I bought a piece of Malaysian driftwood and the pleco hasn't even gone near it. It has been in the tank for more than a week

What kind of pleco do you have? Also, our pleco is fairly nocturnal so we don't see him on the wood in our tank at all, we just see the after effects of him being on it.

Just a common pleco. He is out all day going around the glass and on the fake piece of wood I have and my rock cave and the plants but never the wood

I have a rhino Pleco. And he loves his driftwood. He sits on it all day lol.

Wouldn't stress, he'll find it and it'll become a part of his diet.

Even my Leopard Sailfin comes out of his castle to have a munch whenever he thinks I'm not watching.
