Poor Little Fish

Maybe I'm just too sensitive, but does anyone else get upset by the idea of feeder fish?

There is a lfs near me with two tanks of poor little fish with fin rot but otherwise perfectly cute little guys, and some quite active. I was upset to read their sale tag as "feeder fish"

Surely it is cruel to leave fish to become unwell and then introduce them to a confined environment with no chance of escape?

I get upset at the horrid conditions and overstocking that these disgusting diseased non nutritious fish are kept in and sold to feed our "pets" which is bad as they will make your pet fish sick. If your going to use feeders it's best to breed yourself. Convict cichlids are much much more nutritious than goldfish and guppies.
