Get feeling better Poppa. Hopefully they get it figured out quick (and it's something simple).

Yeah, I noticed that too. Just didn't want to seem like a callus cyka by being all excited by the fish, and not caring about my friend.
Bonus points for anyone who knows what cyka is.

Im seeing them peacock at each other... But no pairing. They're just hitting maturity, so it shouldn't be too long before it starts happening.

Poppa are your pistos kept in pairs or trios??
I seriously think I spotted a sneaker male tonight in my tank.
Seems Alpha male has 3 cyka( ) and the sneaker is convincing the other to hang with him.
They are on opposite ends of 55 but sneaker keeps crossing the line...
I am almost certain there are fry with the 3 females and worried now about the sneaker...
Still waiting on my book and only able to watch them so long a day...
Google is not cheating if used in context!

I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you catch him behind enemy lines eating fry, they have more than enough cover and he will be reminded of his place without prejudice if he gets too close.

Thanks Gillie!
I really have some reading to do...
I figured the sneaker may just be trying to get to the other females, and even less motivated with one of his own , but the thought of him eating fry is what was really worrying me.
Leaves all over the bottom of tank and two 4" pots in a 12" coconut fiber liner are where the 3 females and alpha male base.
I can't see what is behind the pots ,where the eggs were last time...
I really don't want to move the pots incase wigglers are under around it..
I can't wait to see fry swim out just like Poppa said!
