Have a dehumidifier in my basement with all my tanks. I was curious if the water sucked from the air by it can be stored and used for water changes. Cut down on the water bill ya know lol anybody have exp. with this?

Honestly, I have no experience with this idea but I would be afraid to try it. It seems to me you would just be increasing the risk of something getting into your tank that was sucked into the dehumidifier along with the water. I could just be paranoid though.

If you filter the water you are fine. When I make my fish room I will use this method and just filter out the impurities.

I was thinking just a 5g bucket with holes in the bottom with a liner in it and rock, sand, wood coals, and more sand and let it drain into a 55g drum. I think that would do.
