I have a 55 gal with one filter a top fin...i forget but it is for up to 60gals and has the whisper filter bags. Any who i read for larger tanks with one filter a power head at the opposite end of the tank is helpful to circulate water. My only concerns are i want african butterfly fish and i don't think they would do well ith a current. Another worry is how much noise the make. The tank is in my room. TIA

We used to use power heads and it did help with circulation. Position them farther down the tank and it shouldn't bother the African Butterflies. Basically just have it push water, no air. Ours have always been silent. Actually, we had one stop working and didn't know it because we could never hear any of them.
